Heaven & Hell

This month's contest is largely dominated by scratch builds, but that doesn't mean that there's no time for some good, old-fashioned
modding of an already existing case.
In August, there were quite a few successful proper "mods" - but I don't think there were any that were as eye catching to either myself or to the folks over at
Custom PC magazine as the Heaven & Hell mod by tinytomlogan. It's not all that complicated - it's just well-designed and well-executed through and through.
Heaven & Hell started its life as a plain old boring Lian Li V2000. But it had so much to grow from with that heritage...
The V2000 case didn't stay true to its original design for very long - at least not in colours. Apparently, white is the new black...which is okay, because I love it!
Alterations and amendments to the case's unique styling are performed by tinytomlogan with precision and a good eye. A rheobus here, fans for the radiator there, and even one of the most elaborate reservoir designs in recent memory all dot the case - without crowding out its inherent charms.
Even the radiator has been given a good coat of white to bring it into line with the rest of the mod...
...and then be mounted on a mirror acrylic backing. You have to admit, for an old trick it really never loses its appeal!
With most of the mods complete, it was time to install the system and watercoolng and give it a test session...and fortunately, it looked like everything was in order!
Of course, a good old-fashioned mod of this calibre can't be summed up in ten little pictures - so make sure that you take a spin over to tinytomlogan's
worklog for a bit closer look!
While you're traipsing about the forums, please take a couple seconds to go
vote for Heaven & Hell as the choice for
bit-tech's Mod of the Month for August!
